I am pleased to share a new listing in Historic Pinkney neighborhood with a rich history. The original owner was "June" Griesa who married John Weatherwax in 1940. The Griesa family nursery, named Mount Hope was founded in 1869. It was known nationally for quality plants, trees and service. They shipped throughout the United States. The nursery grew to encompass 200 acres and employed 100 people. It was located west of where LMH is located now. Mr. Weatherwax was our Mayor from 1957-61 and was instrumental in the city band South Park concerts. The current steward is the 2nd owner and has enjoyed the home while improving it.
